Golden

This is a most beautiful time of year. The weather is mellow, with cool nights and not-so-hot-days. Occasionally, our nights even get down to two or three degrees celsius. Which is very wonderful. 

It is possible to wear jeans, and socks, and to be clear, the ability to wear socks is one of my criteria for decent weather. 

The land is still dry, and as this is at Winters end, this is worrying, but there is a beautiful, rich gold to the grass near us, satisfying to look at, and the air is crisp and the skies are large and the stars are clear.
