Golden

Driving today, brittle and stretched after a year I think we all agree should just be scrapped, I passed a hill of wind-pulled grass, rippling like a blanket of velvet gold. It reminded me of a morning last year when I woke before the sun to catch the light on some dried out wetlands, and was delighted by the way the light turned the grass into a wonder-world of magic.
The transformation of the ordinary into the magical enchanted me, enchants me still.
