So in October... (the very good reason for my bloggy absence)

So I'm going to try to sneak this in here (sotto voice) because although we're very, very excited, I also feel a tad sheepish. A little greedy. A little too lucky.

And, well I was so very insistent that Giggle-Bear would be our very last. For sure and certain.
You can probably guess what comes next... our fourth little bundle of wonderful is due in October. Perhaps I spoke too loud?

And yes, we are crazy. And no, I'm not any more organised. Chaos still rules.

We already know that she's a girl (the Extravaganza is making plans for her 'Girl Army', Adventure Boy is bearing up boyfully to the loss of a potential brother) and that she's doing very well. She'll be thirteen weeks old tomorrow so she's looking very much like a baby - in an alien kind of way. She has darling little fingers and toes and even fingerprints.

I am hopeful that any day now - surely - I'm going to stop throwing up. I really was getting better (maybe) but then the leurgy - okay, I admit, a bad(ish) cold, hit and threw me right back again.

There has been a reason for my bloggy absence! I do intend to start writing and maybe even picking up the camera any day now!
Truly.

    1. Thank you! We're at super-crazy already so I'm looking forward to super, super crazy! I am so looking forward to four though! I'm sure I will be feeling better soon (touch wood!) xxx (And advice on four greatly appreciated! We're only just starting to look into things like a bigger car!)

    2. We really didn't have time to think too much about things. Our two youngest share a room & even though we had a car big enough we found out in our first big road trip that it's really not great for that kind of thing ( 2 6 foot teenagers do not fit into a third row of seats in a 4WD for an 8 hour trip!). As dumb as it sounds I never considered how much washing 4 kids would make. It's non stop! But really everything else we've just made do with. We have a big-ish house with a big block of land so there's plenty of room to run around & I already cooked as if we were a family of 10 so that hasn't changed. I'd say everything will be perfectly perfect xx

  3. So glad it was a good reason for your logging break (well - apart from the throwing up). I was one of five - four younger brothers - and it was great. Accepting, adaptable, creative parents - like you two I suspect.

  4. Four younger brothers - wow! I had two, but I would have loved more! The kids are really looking forward to the new baby although The Extravaganza did ask if the new baby was 'permanent'! Um. Well. Yes. We hope so!
