39/52

- Giggle-Bear, examining the sand.
-the Extravaganza, being typically extravagantly dramatic.
-Adventure Boy, setting down the path to the sea.

A little late this week, and I believe I may have skipped a week of portraits somewhere, but we've been back in Victoria enjoying a lovely few days by the sea. (There is a photo-spam coming as soon as my computer starts working properly again. It was so beautiful back home by sea, and I miss it so much.)

Anyway, joining with Jodi for a portrait of my little ones most weeks in 2015.

37/52

Adventure Boy - for awhile now he's been telling us that the violin is his favourite instrument and he'd love to learn - and his nana and grandpa have now got him a lovely violin and he's started lessons. While he's not so keen on the set lessons he loves playing on the violin and is very proud of the 'Viking Song' he makes.

The Extravaganza - climbing beside the sea, her face covered in chocolate ice-cream, because ice-cream and the beach go together like fish and chips.

Giggle-Bear - giggling with her sister as they stand in the shallows. I love how much they love each other.

Joining with Jodi for a portrait of my littlest ones (and sometimes my Adventure Boy) once a week, every week in 2015.

...to the Sea

The breakfast dishes were still piled high, half the living room chairs were covered in unsorted laundry, (although let's be honest, this is a usual state of affairs) and I stepped outside for a moment to hang out yet more washing and The Extravaganza hid under her sister's cot with an ipad to avoid her screen-time ban.

She's worked out how to find all her favourite youtubes (and those of the eight year old up the street) and having my baby girl say "Whatevs" and roll her eyes does not work for me. I suggested 'Playschool' to her and she looked at me like I had something nasty on my shoe. No, like I was something nasty on her shoe.

Being locked in combat with a pre-schooler over a few scraps of plastic and metal is lowering.
"That's it. Into the car, we're off."
When in doubt, leave the scene of the crime.
We headed to the beach.

Giggle Bear - she firmly believes poking ones tongue out is the 'in thing'

The Extravaganza - posing by the sea. We had a gorgeous morning along the shore - watching pelicans, playing on playgrounds and then ice-creams - but then just as we were leaving The Extravaganza fell off one of the standing whizzy-dizzy things at the playground and everything was blood and tears. It all changes so quickly. She's better now, but we needed to go to the doctor and the poor little thing had a big shock.

35/52

The Extravaganza - she's started posing now, when I take her photo. There are attitudes and cheek-sucks and knowing smiles. My little ones just grow too fast!

Giggle-Bear - trying on shoes. One is too small and one is too large, but she's determined to put them on. She loves shoes and sunglasses, tiaras and bracelets. If she sees a big person with it, she wants it.

Adventure Boy - swinging on a tree in the rainforest. He's entered the age of obsessions - lego and minecraft at the moment. I can't go through the house without stepping on lego and he walks about clutching the minecraft books that tell him how to make a bow and arrow or a blaze.
